Throughout the summer and fall, artists sent works based around the theme of "Winter" to TheOtaku.com. 15 finalists were chosen, and all are on display in the Arise Kimono Gallery. Now, it's up to you to decide who'll walk away with a year of free manga from Del Rey!
Go! Comi and TheOtaku.com Doujinshi Contest
Since summer, fans have submitted original comics based off of Go! Comi's Black Sun, Silver Moon to the New York Anime Festival via internet anime art hub TheOtaku.com. Now, the finalists have been selected, and it's up to you to pick the winner -- who'll see their comic in print! Vote for your favorite in the AnimeNEXT Manga Library.
Haiku Contest
The haiku is a Japanese style of poetry consisting of three-line poems, with lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables, respectively. And The New York Anime Festival, a celebration of both modern and classical Japanese culture, is proud to play host to a competition between contemporary American poets trying their hand at an ancient Japanese style -- with the winners taking home prizes from sponsors including ADV Films, Bandai America, Bandai Entertainment, Bandai Visual, Central Park Media, Del Rey Manga, Media Blasters, TOKYOPOP, and VIZ Media.
